Fairbanks and Hope Academy

The mission of Hope Academy is to provide a safe, sober and challenging school experience for students recovering from alcoholism and/or drug addiction who share a commitment to educational achievement and personal growth within a community of common recovery values and activity. This charter High School is part of Fairbanks recovery center serving the needs of both adults and adolescents in recovery.

This new two-story facility is located adjacent to the Fairbanks treatment Hospital campus. The ground floor provides facilities for the adult programs while the upper level accommodates Hope Academy. The two levels are tied together by the Circle of Hope staircase and a symbolic light sculpture that represents the recovery process. InterDesign completed this project with Wilhelm construction and others through the design-build delivery process.
